Global Warming ? Not so much in my office...

When I started working here 4.5 years ago, they always kept the temperature at 70F. It would have been fine if the heat was distributed evenly in here. Unfortunately they built the offices with no consideration of the existing heat vents. So everyone who has an office gets a heat vent right above their heads and they're always melting. Exept the back office who's always freezing with me, in the front. We have air intakes. The cubicles are freezing too. The girl in the back office (Who left 2 years ago) was always complaining that she was frozen and came to work dressed as a lumberjack.

Last year they started to keep the temperature at 68. I demanded that they purchase me a little heater to keep at my feet. THIS year, the temperature has now reached an all time low at 66 degrees. BRRRRRRRRR!!!! I mean, this would be fine if we were doing physical work... but we're all sitting here typing away with fingers so frozen they might fall off. I'm about to craft me a poncho made out of one of those foil-y type emergency hypothermia blankets found in first aid kits.

Go out and get yourself a space heater if they won't buy you one! I have the same "climate control" issues in my office, and my space heater is a lifesaver.

I agree with Justine...that is just too cold! It's probably not good for you to be that cold all day either! I hope you get your heater soon!
