Nancy the water balloon

I don't want to complain... But this is too good to be true. The thing is today is my 10th day on Weight Watchers. This morning, after 9 complete WW days, I have lost a total of 17 lbs. I'm super exited that I'm losing weight, but that much this fast ? Am I a water balloon? It can't be fat if it's coming off that quick... Well I woke up in the middle of the night with a nasty flu *zombie wave* and that made me lose 3lbs since yesterday. I'm eating all my points and even going a little over sometimes, so I'm not starving myself or anything. I guess I won't complain that the numbers on the scale are going down fast, because I'm sure it's soon going to stop. How many pounds of water can one person hold ? If I had acupuncture, would I lose 50lbs ?

Heh that reminds me, I don't know if I've blogged about this... but about 2 weeks ago DH was straining some pasta and boiling water splashed on his belly giving him a super nasty nasty burn. It's gross. He keeps picking at the scab and I told him : Stop that! You'll get belly gangrene or something! He says : Then what ? They'd have to cut my belly off ? That would rock! LOL Anyways, I hope he doesn't give up on WW because he thinks it's pretty unfair that he normally loses weight faster than me and this time he's lost 3lbs so far, which is great! But he wishes he would have a water woosh too.

We've been in a really silly mood lately. I don't know why, but we're constantly being silly and laughing like idiots. Maybe it's the heat. Or our summer booze stash hehe. The dog thinks that we're nuts. Twice a week I watch "So You Think You Can Dance" and the theme song goes somethign like :Shoobeedoobeedoowah! We call the dog Pitou, french for doggy, pronouced Peetoo. So DH always sings : shoo pitou pitou wah! So Pitou thinks he can dance! And then we grab his front paws and make him dance. Poor dog. LOL! He has such crazy parents. Yesterday Rockstar SuperNova was on and I was singing my head off to "Losing my Religion" and I was slow dancing with the dog, and when I put him down again, he begged to be picked up again for more dancing hah.

Does anyone watch "The One" ? Another reality superstar-in-the-making show. It's not as good as RockStar of course, but it's a good time waster. There's this crazy looking old judge guy with a multicolored goatee. Anyway, the contestants all live in a mansion together and have voice training and practices etc, but they also have a trainer that comes in to whip them into shape. The other day they walk into the kitchen and there was food on the counter buffet style, and in there was a plate of fried chicken. One of the bigger guys goes : Oooh fraaahed chicken! And as he goes to reach for it, 2 other guys tackle him to the ground and they wouldn't let him sabotage his diet LOL! I wish I had people in my house to tackle me to the floor when I'm about to give in to a craving! hehe

LOL about having people in your house to tackle you before you give in to a craving! I could use that too...but maybe more gentle than tackling, a slap on the wrist, perhaps. Hmmm...diet cops...someone could make lots of money renting themselves out like that...hmm...
Hope you have a good day. Oh, btw, I had the craziest dream about you and Steph last night. I will blog about it in a minute or so. Seriously, it was crazy!

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at your house for a day! ;-)

Do you still do all the gardening? Might be a contributing factor the weight loss, too, not just water.

Water loss is totally normal when you start a new diet. The amount of water is also related to the amount of salt you consume and if you are doing some gardening and the such, you will be losing weight and water for sure. (That's the dietitian in me). So, congrats on your new way of living. Maybe your dr can help with the police thing. lol
