A Ring Tone Meant to Fall on Deaf Ears

In that old battle of the wills between young people and their keepers, the young have found a new weapon that could change the balance of power on the cellphone front: a ring tone that many adults cannot hear.
Here's the ringtone MP3. Can you hear it ?

I could only hear it when I cranked my speakers, and it was almost painful! hehe

I thought it was pretty amazing until I got to the part in the article where it says why this sound was really invented. Then I don't know how I feel about it anymore hehe. What if they invented a sound that only fat bitter girls can hear, to repel them from fast food joints ? ACK!

At first I did not hear it but then I listened again and it makes me sick to my stomock - I must be getting old LOL

I could hear it but DH could not. (I'm 32 and he's 36; ah, the perils of aging!) That makes me feel good that my hearing is still somewhat intact. ;)

Oi, I guess I could hear it! My mom's dog heard it too. He wasn't impressed. :)

Well, I stand corrected. I can hear the MP3 version but my boss found a version that is a wav. file and I couldn't hear that one, although a 25-y.o. coworker could. Guess I'm older than I thought. ;)
