So apparenty I might have a herniated disk. UGH! How did this happen ? I went to the doctor today and got 'real' narcotics apparently, and a medical leave until Nov. 28th. Crap. Why didn't this happen some other time ? NOT the week when I'm supposed to sign my new contract!! Ah well I'll stop complaining now.
My mom has been here for 2 days and bless her heart she helped me with the bedding fiasco and the dishes etc. Oh yeah I didn't tell you about the bedding fiasco :
Since I can't take care of the dog right now and also because the cleaning lady was here for 5 hours yesterday for a mega cleaning, the dog was crated all day while Steph was at work. He's usually crated, but he's not used to having people here while he's crated. He was just going nuts in there. He got nervous and when Steph took him out when he got home, the dog peed outside etc, and as soon as he came in he came in the carpeted computer room to have explosive diahrrea all over the ligth gray carpet. Ugh. Since I can't physically clean that up right now Steph the nurse cleaned it.
Fast forward to later than usual bedtime. It's midnight, Steph brings the dog outside and dog has exploding diahrrea outside. They come into the bedroom, I was in the bathroom, and Steph hadn't noticed that the dog's butt hair was covered with runny poop. The pup shakes shakes shakes it off, it flies all over the bedding, pillow cases, alarm clock EVERYWHERE. ugh. take off all bedding and sleep with only pillow protectors on and since we had no spare mattress cover the dog slept outside the bedroom. By the time we were in bed it was almost 1am. Steph was grumpy because he had to wake up in 6 hours, and he couldn't fall asleep.
So anyways, mom helped wash all the poopy bedding, and put all my dishes in the dishwasher and washed the crockpot. yay!
It would be SO nice to feel all better by friday so I'd have sort of like a week vacation, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better :( Oh yeah I said I'd stop complaining didn't I ?

Aw, Nancy - that sucks! I've been reading your blog all week, and I feel so bad for you! I hope your back feels better ASAP!!

Nancy, I hope the drugs help a bit, and I really hope it's not a herniated disk and goes away again on it's own.
On a sidenote, have you guys decided yet whether you'll keep the dog? I know you were thinking of finding him a new home maybe.
